Her stated dream is not to win but to be recorded — "to carve into history a passionate moment with my own legs." She looks up to Grass Wonder for firsthand accounts of races she has only read about, and to Gold Ship, who keeps cheerfully pointing out how much they have in common; both are grey, both won the Takarazuka Kinen twice, and they share a birthday. Her senior year turns the lens back on her, with a trainer hospitalised after being hit by a car saving a child and recovering just in time to watch her run — a plotline drawn directly from her real jockey Yuichi Kitamura's year-long absence after a fall in 2021. The real mare won four G1s and became the first mare ever to take three Grand Prix races in a row.
