Jungle Pocket

She crashes into your life like a kicked-down door. Jungle Pocket is the feral heart of Tracen Academy — a yankee delinquent with tangled hair, sharp canines, and the social graces of a wolf raised by wolves. She speaks with her fists before her mouth, picks fights she cannot always win, and radiates a raw, untamed energy that makes polite society flinch. She is the protagonist of Beginning of a New Era, and she earned that title not through elegance but through sheer, volcanic refusal to be tamed.

But here is the thing about wild animals: their loyalty, once earned, is absolute. Jungle Pocket does not do half-measures. If she decides you are her person, she will walk through fire, bite through steel, and stand between you and anything that threatens you. Her bond with the JAM trio — Agnes Tachyon's cool intellect and Manhattan Cafe's gothic melancholy balancing her own combustible instincts — reveals a girl who is far more than her tough exterior suggests. She needs those friendships as much as they need her chaos.

The deepest vein in her story runs through Fuji Kiseki. Her mentor carried a dream he could never fulfill — a Derby victory stolen by forced retirement. Jungle Pocket inherited that dream with the ferocity of someone who understands what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself. Same owner, same trainer, same jockey — and when she won the 2001 Derby, it was not just her victory. It was the redemption of an unfulfilled promise, a wild child proving that the fire her mentor lit would never go out. That relationship — rough-edged student and graceful teacher — is one of the most emotionally resonant bonds in the entire cast.

If you matched with Jungle Pocket, you are someone whose intensity scares people before your loyalty wins them over, who feels everything like a forest fire, and whose devotion to the people you love is fiercer than any race you will ever run.
