About
"Speak logically. At its core, a race comes down to mathematical aggregation." Air Shakur trusts exactly one thing in this universe: the data she gathered herself. Eyebrow pierced, laptop perpetually underarm, speech rough enough to make first-years flinch, she is Tracen's resident rebel programmer — and the author of Parcae, a race-prediction engine she built after enrolling. Parcae repaid her with an unforgivable output: she will lose the Derby by seven centimeters, and after the Kikuka Sho, she will never win again.
Her sharp edges are not decoration. She calls herself "ore," addresses her trainer with words that would get anyone else benched, dismisses Agnes Tachyon's scientific romanticism as sloppy thinking, and critiques Fine Motion's cheerful videos to her face. Her inner monologue runs in C++ comments. But the same sources that document the venom document the leaks in it: she gruffly keeps her clumsy roommate Meisho Doto out of trouble and will deny to her last breath that they are friends; she secretly posts self-composed music online under the alias "!monad"; and she is, for the record, terrified of cicadas.
The heart of her story is a rationalist at war with her own conclusion. Believing only in data means believing Parcae's verdict — so she nearly refused to debut at all. Instead she races, obsessively hunting the calculation error that would make defeat negotiable, and with every start the seven centimeters in the simulation shrink. Her real-life counterpart won both the 2000 Satsuki Sho and Kikuka Sho, lost the Derby by exactly that seven-centimeter nose, and was so notoriously fierce that Yutaka Take joked the horse had collected every bad trait Sunday Silence had to offer. In the end, the story goes, she uploads an improved successor — Moirai — anonymously, so that strangers can challenge their own fates with better tools than she had.
If you matched with Air Shakur, you are someone who argues because the truth matters, whose bluntness filters for people worth keeping, and who would rather spend a lifetime disproving a bad prediction than a single afternoon accepting it.
